FIA Safety Week - 2023 


Dear colleagues,

Looking forward to 2023, the FIA Safety, Technical and Rally Departments are pleased to be hosting the inaugural “Safety Week”. This digital attendance, seminar-style event running between Wednesday 25th and Sunday 29th January has the aim of pulling together and presenting to key stakeholders information on a variety of useful and important safety topics and safety-related regulation.



During the FIA Safety Week 2023 we are pleased to be hosting seminar sessions covering the following topics:

 

Rally & Cross-Country Officials Seminar 

(25.01.2023) 08:30 – 11:00 & 15:00 – 19:00

Agenda including the latest in rally sporting regulations, rally safety and the most interesting cases faced by rally Stewards in 2022.

Operational Rally Safety Seminar 

(25.01.2023) 11:30 – 14:30 

Guidance and information on the challenges you may face on the journey from the idea to create an event through to the final event debrief.

ASN Safety Cage Homologation Seminar 

(26.01.2023) 08:00 – 10:00 or 14:00 – 16:00 

A focus on Homologation of Safety Cages by the ASNs according to FIA Homologation Regulations

Safety Equipment Homologation Seminar

(26.01.2023) 10:30 – 13:30 or 16:30 – 19:30

   This seminar is targeted for Technical Delegates, Scrutineers and ASN staff working with safety equipment regulation. It will cover the key points of safety equipment regulation and use.

Operational E-Safety Seminar

  An overview of the topic of “operational e-Safety”, the changes in the FIA regulations regarding e-safety and how can the FIA support clubs, organisers and circuits to implement e-safety at national level.

 Empowering Disabled Motorsport Seminar 

(27.01.2023) 10:30 - 16:30

  The seminar will discuss all aspects of getting involved with the sport for people with disabilities. With a range of experts in the field, the sessions will be informative and interactive.

We would like to encourage ASN Technical and Safety staff and officials who may benefit from these free seminars to tune in. Attendees can register for any of the above listed sessions using the relevant provided links. More information on the content of each session can also be found via the links included above. Please note that the registration links will be closed on 18 January 2023.


The Safety Department is also organizing during the same period the biennial FIA Medical Summit. As previously, the Medical Summit will be open to Chief Medical Officers, Deputy Chief Medical Officers, and FIA Medical Delegates, all of whom will receive a specific invitation to attend.
