Dear colleagues,

Looking ahead to 2025, the FIA Safety & Technical, Circuit Sport and Sustainability and EDI Departments are pleased to be hosting the third edition of the “Safety Week”. This digitally-attended seminar-style event will take place from Tuesday, 4th February to Saturday, 8th February 2025, and will bring together information on a variety of useful and important safety topics and safety-related regulations.

This year, we have introduced a unique registration link, which allows you to easily select the seminar(s) you would like to attend.

During the FIA Safety Week 2025 we are pleased to be hosting seminar sessions covering the following topics:


(04.02.2025) 09:00 – 10:30 CET (UTC+1)

 

The seminar will discuss the process behind the release of a technical regulation or safety standards, starting from the initiation of the project through to its publication, using the current WRC technical regulation as case study.




(04.02.2025) 11:00 - 12:00 CET (UTC+1) 


The “Operational High-Voltage Safety” seminar provides an overview of FIA e-Safety principles and practical applications. It covers roles, responsibilities, and best practices for high-voltage safety, lessons learned from key WEC situations, and updates on regulations, including new PPE standards. Attendees will also gain access to e-learning tools, guidelines, and downloadable assets to support effective implementation at their own events.




(04.02.2025) 13:00 – 16:15 CET (UTC+1)


This seminar aims to assist scrutineers in ASNs by reinforcing essential requirements and procedures. The goal is to provide an overview of upcoming or newly enforced classes and updates for the 2025 season.




(05.02.2025) 09:00 – 11:45 CET (UTC+1) 


This seminar is targeted for Technical Delegates, Scrutineers and ASN Staff working with Safety equipment regulations. It will cover the key point of safety equipment regulations and good practice.




(05.02.2025) 12:45 – 15:15 CET (UTC+1) 


An overview of the FIA circuit homologation process, featuring key insights into circuit design and construction, circuit safety simulation, and best practices for circuit inspections. The session will conclude with a roundtable discussion, including the introduction of circuit sustainability initiatives and a discussion with the winner of the FIA Scholarship Awards.




(06.02.2025) 09:00 – 11:15 CET (UTC+1) 


Guidance and information on the best practices in terms of operational safety applied to Rally, Cross-Country and Hill Climb.




(06.02.2025) 11:45 – 12:45 CET (UTC +1) 


In this seminar, participants will be guided through the new environmental requirements that will apply to all sporting events and implications for their work, as well as get an understanding of the Environmental Observer role and its links with safety of the competitions.




(06.02.2025) 13:45 – 16:00 CET (UTC+1)


The seminar will discuss all aspects of getting involved with the sport for people with disabilities. With a range of experts in the field, the sessions will be informative and interactive.




(07.02.2025) 09:00 - 10:30 CET (UTC+1) 


This seminar is aimed at Technical Delegates, Scrutineers and ASN staff involved in implementing the safety equipment regulations and ensuring that they are properly applied at competitions.




(07.02.2025) 11:00 – 12:30 CET (UTC+1) 


This session will focus on the necessary safety aspects that must be incorporated into the sport at a grassroot level and the various developments that need to be followed in a progression toward a higher level. From vehicle conception to track safety, this seminar will provide the framework for a safer supervision of the sport




(07.02.2025) 13:30 – 15:00 CET (UTC+1) 


A focus on Homologation of Safety Cages by the ASNs according to FIA Homologation Regulations.




(08.02.2025) 09:00 – 16:30 CET (UTC+1)


The Medical & Rescue Summit will be open to Chief Medical Officers, Deputy Chief Medical Officers, Rescue Chiefs, doctors, paramedics and rescue staff working in motor sport and FIA Medical Delegates, all of whom have received a specific invitation to attend. For any further queries you may have or should you need any specific assistance on the Medical & Rescue Summit, please do not hesitate to contact us as at medical@fia.com




We would like to encourage ASN technical and safety staff, circuit inspectors and officials who may benefit from these free seminars to tune in. This is an open registration process, attendees can register for any of the listed sessions using the provided link and find additional details about each session's content through the relevant link.
